Colorado: ~60K QHPs thru 12/07; 14% ahead of same point last year

A few days ago I noted that based on a rather cryptic press release from Connect for Health Colorado, I deduced that C4HCO had enrolled a minimum of 53,000 people in 2018 ACA exchange policies as of December 7th. Today, however, Louise Norris has clarified that the actual 12/07 tally in CO was 59,590...and that this does not include auto-renewals, as some of the other state-based exchanges have already done:

A few weeks later, Connect for Health Colorado reported by email that as of December 7, enrollments for 2018 had reached 59,590. This was 14 percent higher than the enrollment total at the same time the year before (it was at 52,203 as of December 7, 2016). Enrollments are expected to spike in the final few days leading up to December 15 (the deadline to get coverage effective January 1), and auto-renewals will be processed by the exchange starting on December 16, for people who don’t return to the exchange to manually select a plan for 2018 (auto-renewal is not recommended; it’s better to log back into the exchange and actively pick a plan for 2018, since prices and plan availability change from year to year).

It's also important to note that unlike most states, Colorado's open enrollment deadline extends beyond 12/15, out to January 12th, so they'll still have 4 full weeks to #GetCovered before the window shuts on 2018.
