Washington State: @WAPlanFinder plans on extending COVID SEP thru 6/30, making #ARP subsidies available by 5/15
Yesterday the Washington Health Benefit Exchange held their monthly board meeting, and among other topics, they had a presentation about their plan for implementing the expanded/enhanced subsidies made available by the American Rescue Plan. To me, the key info is on Slide 14:
American Rescue Plan— Key Implementation Elements
- Special Enrollment Period will be extended to June 30th, 2021
- Apply enhanced APTC and CSRs for those receiving UI (through 12/31/2021)
- Apply increased APTC for 2021 and 2022
- Outreach to engage those new to the Exchange and newly eligible to tax credits
- We will roll out all features – UI as well as applying enhanced APTC for current and new customers by May 15
They haven't sent out a formal press release yet, so it's guess the deadline extension isn't official, but it seems pretty cut & dry. May 15th is considerably later to implement the enhanced subsidies for most people than HealthCare.Gov (which says it'll be live as of April 1st), but it's also much earlier than HC.gov for the Unemployment Insurance benefits.
