Connecticut: Access Health CT enrolls 97K in first 24 days of Open Enrollment; up 16% y/y so far
Via Access Health CT's News/Press Releases page:
Stats as of November 24, 2023
Qualified Health Plans (QHP):
- QHP Enrollment In 2023 Coverage: 97,004
- 2024 OE Acquisition Summary: 6,962
Medicaid:
- Completed applications/redeterminations processed through the integrated eligibility system: 25,244
It's my understanding that "Acquisition Summary" refers to CT residents who are brand-new enrollees (never enrolled via the exchange before).
Obviously this 97K figure includes auto-renewals being piled on top of the new/active renewal tally, which stood at 19,145 a week earlier.
By comparison, last year Access Health CT reported enrolling 87,161 people through Nov. 25th (one extra day since Nov. 1st fell on a Tuesday last year); this also included auto-renewals:
- 2023: 87,161 in 25 days (3,486/day)
- 2024: 97,004 in 24 days (4,042/day)
In other words, Connect's ACA exchange has enrolled 16% more people per day so far.
They've also enrolled 37% more brand-new enrollees per day, assuming my "Acquisition Summary" definition is correct.
Access Health CT's final tally at the end of Open Enrollment last year was 108,132, so they've already enrolled 90% of that.
