Report: O-Care ruling would disproportionately affect small businesses
A new report released today by the Episcopal Health Foundation and Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy found that from September 2013 to March 2015, the percentage of uninsured adult Texans ages 18-64 dropped from 25 to 17 percent.
The decrease in the uninsured is almost entirely attributable to a rise in individually purchased health plans.
Had Texas opted to expand Medicaid, the gains in coverage would have been more substantial
